Here is a new one -- 77 inch LG G7 or 65 inch A1E

Flat Panel General & New FP Tech - www.avsforum.com
I've been stressing myself over which TV to get for the past month or so to replace my 85 inch x950b. I've seen a lot of "65 inch OLED vs 75 inch LCD" and "LG C7 vs Sony A1E" threads, but none comparing different OLED sizes in different brands.

It's basically come down to:

(1) 65 inch A1E -- price X

(2) 75 inch z9d -- price X + $5k

(3) 77 inch LG G7 -- price X + $9k

(4) 77 inch A1E -- price X + $12k

Those reflect the deltas in the best prices I've seen on each. I think I would eliminate (4) because it's just getting absurd and into brand new Honda territory. I also would likely eliminate (2) because one of the reasons I'm changing TVs is that I'm sick of blooming, flash lighting, and light bleed when looking on from an angle. (The other is that I love HDR and I want 4:4:4 at 60).

So between (1) and (3), the issue is that I've spent a good deal of time with both TVs and frankly I think the Sony's motion is much better. I get frustrated (and sometimes dizzy) when watching motion/judder on the LG, and I've tried each of the motion settings for extended periods of time. On the other hand, the Sony motion is perfect, as is the upscaling. I also prefer the OS of the Sony. To be clear, this is not to take anything away from the LG -- it's a fantastic TV otherwise, but if you're sensitive to motion it can be tough.

Would it be the worst/dumbest decision ever to go for the smaller 65 inch Sony over the larger 77 inch LG panel? Saving the $9k would be nice, but I do have the money if needed.
