5.0 decision looming; Philharmonic Affordable Accuracy vs NHT SuperOne/Center 2.1

Speakers - www.avsforum.com
Greetings,

I've trolled the treasure trove of valuable info on this forum for a week or so in trying to decide on speakers to buy for the living room of a new house. In doing so I've become overwhelmed and am ready to pull the trigger. That said, I would greatly appreciate anyone who could take a minute and help this n00b get situated.

I've got a large living room that opens into the kitchen and front foyer. Unfortunately, I am not sure of square footage so I am a little hesitant to guess. No vaulted ceilings or anything like that. What I'm looking to do is buy 4 bookshelf speakers to be hung on wall mounts and 1 center channel to go on the mantle under the television.

As of now I've got a Polk PSW505 but I'm working on selling to finance a BIC F12. As for an AVR I'm looking at the Denon AVR-X1100W and AVR-X2100W refurb units from accessories4less.

Now to the meat of the matter. I've looked at the EMP Tek, HTD 3, Chane & Wharfedale Diamond and they're all just a bit out of what I'd like to spend. The two that stand out to me for price are the Philharmonic AA monitors and center ($500/delivered) or the NHT "B Stock" SuperOne 2.1 and SuperCenter 2.1 (677/delivered). If any of those more pricey options are worth it please let me know.

I would be using mainly for listening to records and live music but would obviously like something that sounds good with movies and such. I want to power a 5.1 in the living room and have a pair of Klipsch KHO-7's for the back patio.

Any thoughts, suggestions or otherwise would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers
