Can I use a stereo amp with a pre-out (but no bass management) with the PSA V1500?

Subwoofers, Bass, and Transducers - www.avsforum.com
I'm thinking about purchasing a peachtree nova220se (with 2 pre-outs), but no bass management or crossover-frequency settings. I see on the back of the V1500 that it has a "crossover 24dB/OCT) that goes from 0hz-150hz so I can use this as a LPF to make up for not having bass management, correct? Is there something wrong with my thinking?
