Life with Integrated amp without bass management

2 Channel Audio - www.avsforum.com
I was thinking of purchasing integrated amplifier over AVR for the joy of two channel pure music but one comment regarding Klipsch floor standing speaker opened my eyes to bitter reality of lack of bass management in stereo integrated amp.

Klipsch floor standing speaker (or any other) have good sensitivity and hence lot of bass. It requires some sort of bass management or else bass will become over powering to midrange especially if room is small and too much reflective.

In short our rooms are not perfect. And integrated amplifier have neither bass management nor room correction ability (EQ).

My question is how do you control bass if it is overpowering to mid?

I know there is bass control at the front but audiophile would like to listen music with pure direct where bass control is disabled.
