Balance Control issue's with a Fisher X202C

Fisher - AudioKarma.org Home Audio Stereo Discussion Forums - www.audiokarma.org
Hi all,

I had to replace the balance control on the X202C, the one in there

was getting a bit noisy so I took it out. Now here's the problem I put in

a balance pot from a X101C and put the wires back right and now it's loud

on ether end of the travel max left and right but when in the center the

volume gets really low and I have to put the volume control at about

1:00 and 2:00 o'clock to get it loud enough, when I set it to the max

travel on ether side I have to lower it to about 10:00 o'clock. So is it

wiring or the pot??

Thanks
