Adjusting Bias on Reciever with no Trim Pots?
I've almost got my pioneer Rondo 3000 back to 100% working order.
I was measuring the voltage across the Emitter resisters and found that while the Resistors on the Right channel measure about 10mv each - the resistors on the Left side were only measuring about 2mv or less.
In the schematic for this receiver, it shows 2 points were you can cut a wire to take a resistor out of circuit, in order to increase bias voltage. I cut the wire on the left channel - which raised the voltage measurement to 5mv across the Emitter resistor.
Better - but not perfect as I would imagine that having the bias not equal between the channels would result in a subpar stereo image.
What I'm wondering is if there is another resistor(s) I could remove from the circuit to further increase the bias in the left channel?
Or even better - would it be viable to replace some resistors with a variable resistor? so that I could make a more precise adjustment to match the bias to the other channel?
