Cleaning plastic radio parts.

General Audio Discussion | Audiokarma Home Audio Stereo Discussion Forums - audiokarma.org
Hello everyone,

I have a 1982 Zenith model R421 table radio that I would like to clean up. Its in nice shape! works fine, but the plastic shell has some scuffs and dirt, and the top fake wood surface has a smokey haze on it.

The whole case is 100% plastic, no real wood anywhere.

Im planning to take the whole thing apart, deoxit the pots, and clean up the plastic surfaces. Anyone have any suggestions for the best method for cleaning the plastic? I want to gently remove the grunge, but not harm the plastic surface or the lettering. This will be the first time I have done anything like this..any suggestions appreciated!

Thanks,

Scot
