2325 ISSUE

Marantz Audio | Audiokarma Home Audio Stereo Discussion Forums - audiokarma.org
Greetings all,

I am new to the vintage audio hobby and recently picked up a nice 2325 (Manufacture date 10/24/1974). I was having an issue where the right channel would fall off at lower volumes then come back. I took the unit back from where I purchased it for a repair. Once returned, The unit no longer drops the right channel but it now has a perpetual light static on the left at zero volume. I can only assume it remains when the volume is turned up as well. The right channel makes no such noise. Any ideas on what would cause this?

Oh, I have tried all the buttons and switches multiple times and nothing seems to affect it.

Any help is greatly apprciated.
