Questions on a Silvertone console pull...

Tube Audio | Audiokarma Home Audio Stereo Discussion Forums - audiokarma.org
Well, I got the guts out of this Sears Silvertone console, and I want to get it up and running as a present for AK member Bakes who's coming through town next week.

Got some general questions.

Do I need to have the TT connected to have it function normally?

The tape jack looks to be prolly input only, and the connections are different than current standard RCA type. There appears to be a red wire, a white wire, and a ground, a three pronger.

Can I safely assume the ground is a common ground, and then wire in some standard jacks?

I don't have a schematic, only a tube layout, and I'm puzzled as to where I can find the coupling caps. Anyone want to venture a guess?

Tubes are all original, labeled Silvertone, and all japanese, except these two....

Ribbed long plate 12AU7, "Made in Italy". Haven't seen an Italian tube before.

and this one....

What appears to be an Amperex magic eye tube. Interesting.

So anyway, obviously single ended, with small OPT's, but with a PCB, and that interesting mount of the 12AU7 in the middle of the chassis.

BTW, the model number is a 4055/Mahogany, and the chassis # is 528-54840

Might there be a Sam's somewhere?
