It happens that I live at the first floor of my building, due to lack of space and WAF issues, I had to arrange all my system in a very small corner of my living room, until now I used a standard cheap dipole antenna for my radio listenings, because the afore mentioned contraints I had this dipole hanged near the ceiling, bent at 90 degrees, I could listen quite well the usual FM stations but the Signal Strenght meter was alway very near to 0.
In the past I had the tuner section realligned and then the whole receiver recapped. I had the luck to find online an almost perfect BIC FM10 antenna at low $, connected it with regular, used coax cable, had this BIC to stand upright because of space lack, few hours ago had the chance to connect it to my Marantz, and...WOW, what a change, the signal strenght went up to almost 2, the radio sound is louder and somewhat cleaner. Still need to play with all options and regulations offered by the BIC FM10, but I suggest everybody to grab one, if chance arises, those units are really priceless...
