Biggest spandex screen for Epson 2040
I am preparing to construct my spandex AT screen (matte white milliskin on top of matte black milliksin), and looking for some help.
My seating distance is 12 ft, and I've got an Epson 2040 projector (throw distance can vary to whatever it needs to be). I plan a 16:9 screen and would like to use the projector in ECO mode to keep the fan noise down. Maybe I'm missing something on the projectorcentral calculator, but I can't tell if the calculations are made based on the full output of the projector, or the ECO mode? My guess is full output, but what do I know? For what it's worth projectorcentral's review of this projector mentions ~1500 lumens in full lamp power mode and ~1000 lumens in ECO (2/3 of full lamp mode).
The room will be light-controlled or very low ambient lighting; can anyone comment on whether my projector in ECO mode can produce a bright enough image for a 120" diag 16:9 spandex (white on black) screen? I guess if the calculator results below show 18fL for full power, the ECO mode would be 2/3 or that or 12fL. 12fL seems to be right on the edge of the red/green zone of the calculator.
