Device stops working during swim

Garmin Swim - forums.garmin.com
Hello,

I have had my Garmin Swim since 2013. It indicates ARV 3.6000000 and ATK 2.1000000. The device no longer tracks a whole session and is in the CONNECT TO COMPUTER state. I would like to know if the device is fixable.

During a session this week, when I stopped a drill, the device's screen stopped responding for a few seconds, and then later displayed ERROR ERROR ERROR and then to CONNECT TO COMPUTER. My computer did not pick it up when I returned. After some time, the watch resumed displaying the time. I then connected it to Garmin Express but there was no update.

After I factory reset the watch (now), the response to the selection of language, time, date and weight is very slow (the watch response a second or two after inputting the option). If I get the watch back to the time display, set the drill timer and start a 'swim', the display goes (mostly) blank and returns to the CONNECT TO THE COMPUTER state.

I have also removed the battery (twice, after the PLEASE WAIT... loop) and the device fails as above.

I will attempt to replace the battery with a fresh one, but would like to know if this is a known error, or an indication of the failure of the device.

Thanks.
