Elite SC-LX701 or Denon AVR-X4300H
I posted elsewhere my Pioneer Elite VSX27-TX died and I need a replacement. My old unit didn't even support HDMI so the whole world had opened up for me. I could go cheap or buy something to last for a while technology wise. I am currently running 5.1 but have the speakers to support 7.1 but may get another sub at some point.
B&W 603S2 front L/R
B&W CC6 Center
B&W 601S2 rear (currently downstairs on channel B)
B&W in ceiling rear L/R (currently)
I've been considering Pioneer Elite VSX-LX301(7.2), SC-LX501(7.2), SC-LX701(9.2 and three zones)
And which seems more cost effective Denon AVR-X4300H (9.2 and three zones)
9.2 is not a hard requirement but may be nice, 7.2 is more reasonable.
3 zones is more desirable, currently I have my b-channel wired to a patch panel distributed to kitchen ceiling, family room, and backyard deck.
So with all that said does anyone have some words of wisdom for me?
My heart tells me to buy the Pioneer Elite 701, but my more logical mind tells me to get the Denon which has all the features I want at a better price point ($799). The best I can come on the 701 is a refurbished unit from accessories4less for $899. I'm sure some of have opinions I'd love to hear.
Thanks in advance
