Gamers: LG B7 OLED or SONY X900E LED
So I recently upgraded my TV to a 50" Samsung MU6100 to play PS4 and Xbox one games and am HATING IT!
I have to constantly change the settings to get any sort of uniformity in the black levels depending on the game and am constantly burdened with the 'dirty screen' effect. I have tried multiple settings to no help. If any one has any suggestions on settings I'd love to hear them.
The real question is though I have decided that I need to cut my losses and upgrade my TV. I have always wanted an OLED TV and they seem to be coming down in price but I'm not sure if they're right for gaming. I don't game competitively I just enjoy single player games and stories but after reading reviews it seems the only thing critics worry about with gaming TV's is the response time. I also live in Australia so TV options and prices can be limited.
The only OLED in my price range is the 55" LG B7. The other option after looking at several reviews is the 65" Sony x9000e. I know that it has a limited viewing angle but that wont be an issue as this TV will be in my media room which is quite dark.
Like I said I play mostly single player games and am looking forward to games like God of war (Mostly colourless and dark), Red dead redemption 2 (Wild west game, bright and colourful) and The last of us part 2 (Mostly dark and moody).
If anyone has any one these TV's and could make recommendations I am all ears. I currently don't have a PS4 pro but am considering an upgrade if anyone has any input on that also that would be amazing!
Sorry for the information overload I just thought I would present everything up front
