Help Detecting Events on a Vista 21-IP
I am hoping there is someone out there who can help me accomplish what I am trying to do on a Vista 21-IP. My 21-IP has three 4229 Expansion Modules attached to it. The system runs well.
I want to be able to detect the following events via Triggers and/or Output device programming. I have researched the internet and don't seem to understand how to use these features of the 21-IP triggers and/or the expansion modules to accomplish this (if it is possible). I am software engineer by trade and still can't seem to find what I am looking for.
The following events are what I would like to capture when they occur:
1. When the alarm has been set to the following modes:
a) Away Mode
b) Night Mode
c) Stay Mode
d) Disarmed/"Ready" Mode
2. When the alarm has been activated either instantly or by entry delay.
3. Which partition these events have occurred. (This is not as important, but would be nice).
If I can get a signal from the Vista that would alert me of these events, I can handle the capturing of it on my end.
I know I could use the AD2USB/AD2SERIAL/AD2PI, etc., but I would prefer not to use these if possible.
If it is possible, could anyone out there explain to me how to do this on the WIRED ZONE EXPANDER/RELAY MODULES and/or the 8-PIN CONNECTOR on the 21-IP. In addition, how to program the 21-IP to accomplish this?
If anyone could help me, I would greatly appreciate it. I would buy you dinner if I could, but hope you would settle for a Kudos instead!
