Lexicon MC-12 Problem.... is no sound bad?

Receivers, Amps, and Processors - www.avsforum.com
I have a Lexicon MC-12 that is getting a little long in the tooth. Not long ago, when I had to hook the whole system back up, I noticed the left channels stopped working. Then they started again. Not sure why, but for almost a year all was well. This week all that ended. Now the left front, side, and rear channels are silent. All the right channels work great however! I am concerned the Lex needs a repair, which will be prohibitively expensive knowing Lexicon. Can anyone give me a sense as to what might cause this?

It is obviously not settings. There is not setting that could create this save for, perhaps, balance, and I haven't touched that control; never have. I have tried restarting the Lex, but that had no effect, so I think it isnt software, but I could be wrong. Does this mean I have a hardware problem? Might I have bent the output board during when I set things back up? I didn't do anything I haven't done a million times before, but perhaps the MC12 has a weakness with these boards?

Anyway, any help would be appreciated. If I can fix this myself I will. If not, off to the repair shop it goes....

Aaron
