Lighting suggestions for drop ceiling basement room

General Home Theater & Media/Game Rooms - www.avsforum.com
I'm repurposing a basement toy room into a family living, movie and game room. The room currently has a very industrial looking white drop ceiling with two 2X4 foot fluorescent tube troffers. I've installed dark vinyl plank flooring. I'm planning on purchasing new, dark colored ceiling tiles (looking at black vinyl tiles from procelingtiles.com). I'd like to replace the fluorescent troffers with lighting that is a little more attractive, dimmable, and preferably LED. I've been looking at the big box home improvement stores and also searching quite a bit online. I've seen LED panels that replace the troffers, but I'm not sure if they look any less industrial. I've also seen people put can type lighting in drop ceilings, but I'm concerned that with the dark floor, and if I go with dark ceiling tiles, that might not be enough light. The room is 17' by 14' and has no natural light.

Before I buy anything, I thought I'd post and see if anyone has a similar setup, or any suggestions for lighting. There might be some options I'm not considering.

Thanks for any suggestions.
