Living Room Layout Suggestions.

General Home Theater & Media/Game Rooms - www.avsforum.com
Hello, this is my first post on the forum, along with being new to home audio.

My wife and I just purchased a new home and I want to leave the home theater in a box and step into the "Big shoes" haha.

I will attach images of my living room layout and how i plan on running my setup.

The living room is open concept to the kitchen and dinning area so im afraid ill be limited to a 3 speaker setup, FL FR & C plus subs. I could run some speakers in the ceiling ( 12' Ceiling height) but i dont particularly want to start cutting holes in the ceiling.

The Receiver i have been eyeing is the Onkyo NR777 7.2

I will initially just be purchasing my tower speakers and I have been looking at the Polk S60s, RTI A9s & the Q acoustic 3050s.

Havent decided on the center yet. But i will need to mount above the TV or sit between the TV and the mantel. I have a 75" above fireplace, so the Center cant be huge. I like the Polk S35, and it should fit nicely.

The subs are the tricky part as im running out of real estate. I would like to build my own enclosure and run 2 12" dayton audio subs, in a custom sealed decorative cabinet having them downfire. The only place i can think of is the short wall between the foyer and the hallway leading to the garage. its Roughly 44" wide

If I could get some critiques i would be most thankful as this is my first serious setup. Im open to all ideas and suggestions. My initial budget for reciever and two towers is $1,500 ~$1,800. And ill add the rest later.
