Minor audio lag on 4K television, is this normal?
I recently bought a 4K television set, it is the LG 55SJ8500. I love it so far. I really wanted a television set that had Dolby Vision and I really liked the format of the smart television capabilities when I saw it on display at a store. I really preferred to buy an LG OLED television set but unfortunately, it was out of my budget. But with the 55SJ8500, I did notice something and I'm wondering if anybody is familiar with this minor issue. There seems to be a slight audio lag when switching channels, only by one or two seconds. We have a Spectrum/TWC cable box and when we switch channels, the picture arrives but the sound arrives like one or two seconds after the picture arrives. Is this normal?
I also noticed this issue on my Apple TV (not the 4K version) when checking previews on the iTunes store. The picture comes first and the sound arrives like one or two seconds after the picture comes on. I don't think it happens when watching an actual movie or television show, just checking out previews on the iTunes store.
For me, this minor audio issue isn't a big deal but I would like to know if others experience this issue or a similar issue? I do know sometimes, with new technology, there are a few minor kinks that are a result from this newer form of technology.
