Need help picking out new HDTV to 4k or not to 4k
I am in the market for a new HDTV my old 40" Samsung from 08 is starting to get him problems again like not turning on at all sometimes or taking 10 mins or more to actually show a picture when you can hear whats on lol. So I've been looking around here and looking around online and I'm trying to decide between 3 sets. I was trying to stay under 1k but really would have prefered to stay under 800 if at all possible. Mostly what I use it for is gaming and watching TV on my DVR but sometimes I do use it as a monitor for when I game on my PC since its in the same room and fairly close together. Alright trying not to make this too long the three sets I'm currently looking at are:
Sharp - AQUOS - 55" Class (54.6" Diag.) - LED - 2160p
Sony - 55" Class (54.6" Diag.) - LED - 1080p
Sony - 49" Class (48.5" Diag.) - LED - 2160p
For now it will be in a bedroom but will end up being a living room set for home theater. I'm not really sure either if getting a 4k set is worth it for me seeing as I sit less than 10 feet from the tv and currently it doesn't seem like there is a ton of 4k content out. Also I am moving from Directv to Comcast soon so not sure if Comcast has any 4k options. Thanks a lot for your help.
