Nitty Gritty Mini Pro 1 drainage mechanism question

Turntables | Audiokarma Home Audio Stereo Discussion Forums - audiokarma.org
After having a record cleaning machine on my "wish list" for years, I finally got a Nitty Gritty Mini Pro 1 used off of ebay, "as is". I rolled the dice because someone asked the question as to why the seller was selling it for "parts-as is". The seller said it powered on and made noise but didn't move. Something told me that he didn't know a thing about a Nitty Gritty and was not seeing the capstan move under the suction arm on top and was expecting the record platter to move, instead. By golly, I was right! Finally bet one right and got it for a steal. However, upon inspection, it's missing the waste tray underneath and I am wondering if there was a tube from the bottom of the fan housing, through the hole in the bottom plate, into the tray. Can anyone tell me if there is supposed to be a tube from the fan housing into the waste tray? If so, how is the tube connected to the fan housing. I see a hole in the bottom of the fan housing that is aligned with the hole in the bottom of the machine bottom plate, but no good way for a tube to attach without maybe driving something into the hole in the fan housing to attach a tube to... like a metal or hard plastic tube of a smaller diameter that a flexible tube would go over and attach to. I am thinking something is missing besides the tray. However, I suppose the waste fluid could just drip through the hole in the bottom plate into the tray.
