Is this normal?--thump upon powering on

McIntosh Audio | Audiokarma Home Audio Stereo Discussion Forums - audiokarma.org
My speakers give out a small thump when I power on my Ma7900. Not loud, but it's there. I know this is normal in my old Marantz 2230 because it is capacitor coupled. Is it normal for the modern Mac?
