Open Aeon from MrSpeakers 'Imminent'

On page 20 of the October issue of 'Sound & Vision' Steve Guttenberg writes (in a review of the Aeon) that 'an open backed Aeon is imminent and will be the same price as this (closed) one'.

Anyone know if this is true or did he just go off the rails?
