Producer USB Getting "Feedback"

Microphones & Preamps - forums.m-audio.com
Hello c:

I bought a Producer USB a long time ago, and it worked great. All of a sudden, within the last week or so, after using the microphone in a Skype call, Audacity recording or even online video game chat for around 5-10 minutes, the microphone will start getting a weird robot-like sound effect on it. It kinda sounds really choppy and very strange. People begin to mistake me for using a voice changer to apply the strange effect, which is embarrassing. Whenever it gets this effect, I un-plug it and plug it back in again, and it's good for 5-10 minutes until it starts again. I love this microphone but this is making me slowly begin to dislike it.

If anybody has any solutions please post, I really don't want to have to buy another mic assuming that this one is broken!

Thanks so much
