projector offset & ductwork clearance

General Home Theater & Media/Game Rooms - www.avsforum.com
Hi everyone, I am new to this forum, but participate in many others, so if this question is in the wrong spot, just let me know.

I am building my first home theater, and need some help figuring out the measurements before I go and buy a screen & projector. Here are the details:

- 120" screen

- Optoma HD29 Darbee projector

According to the specs on the projector, I will need to place it around 14' from the screen. It also has a 9" offset, which if I understand correctly means that the top the projector lens must be 9" *above* the top of the screen. Correct?

My main problem is that exactly 83" (6' 11") from the wall where the screen will be installed is some ductwork that drops down exactly 10". I dont understand how to calculate if the ductwork is going to be a problem blocking the projector image.

I can provide more detail if needed.

Can anyone help?
