Removing 3250B pcb

Marantz Audio - AudioKarma.org Home Audio Stereo Discussion Forums - www.audiokarma.org
Hi there,

I'm going to be recapping my 3250B preamp, and I was wondering if anyone can give me a quick rundown on the best way to remove the pcb from the chassis.

The service manual has a 5 step process for the "Removal Procedure of PJ01 Board", but it's hard for me to see how this could work, given the extent of the interlocking between the boards, particularly ones that have solid connections to the rotary switches on the front panel. The removal procedure also has reference to a terminal board ("fold back the terminal board (0302)") that I can't locate on the mechanical diagram.

If anyone has experience recapping / tearing down a 3250B, my questions are:

1) Are the 5 steps listed in the service manual all that's required to access the pcb for recapping?

2) If not, what else needs to be disconnected?

3) Where is the terminal board 0302 referenced in the manual?

Thanks for any help you can provide.
