Sony STR 7065 no FM advise please

About a month ago i picked up a sony str-7065. The FM was tested working when i picked it up at the sellers house. However i cant seem to pick up any stations at my house. AM seems to be working fine. I have no problem picking up FM stations with other receivers. It on the first floor of my house. For an antenna i just have about 8' of speaker wire for testing.
Any ideas? New to vintage stereo equipment maybe im just doing something stupid? Thanks Related messages Any help on this would be appreciated. Picked up this 1972 Sony along with a YAM M-40 parts amp, sold the amp and it paid for the Sony and then some. It was quite filthy inside and grimy outside, guy was a heavy smoker. Took it apart and cleaned thoroughly and sprayed controls and this unit cleaned up really well Sound ...
