No Sound From Receiver

I have a JVC RX-805VTN Digital Surround System Receiver that was removed from a condo where it has not been fired up for about 10 years and should be from the mid 1990's.

This receiver appears to be in very good condition and everything lights up and works as it appears it should from the owner's manual except that there is no sound at all.

I've tried the CD source and the Tuner sources without luck

I've tried different speakers to see if it was that...no luck

there is no strange burning smells or anything else when plugged in

Mute is off

I have tried pushing the mechanical buttons on and off in case they might be sticking, no luck

I have not located any fuses and nothing appears loose or disconnected

there is no hum, scratchiness or distortion, just quiet

I have been unable to find a service manual for this particular model and I have very little experience beyond DeOxit and going over the simple fixes to get this up and running.

Any help you care to share would be greatly appreciated.
