Turntable Causing Rumble/Flutter to my woofers!
Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Esprit SB
Ortofon 2m Blue stylus
I am having a few issues.
I bought a Symposium Segue ISO and when I put the turntable on the platform, literally every little step I'd take when walking around there would be skips in the record. Tonearm/Needle bouncing! It was quite scary! I took the platform off and it stopped completely unless I jumped a lot on my floor.
I put the platform back on with the additonal couplers I bought and it didnt skip with every step. I took the couplers off and just had it on the platform again and it didn't skip with every step. Weird it did it the first time though. By the way, I could not take the feet off on the Pro Ject turntable. The entire foot is a rubber material embedded into the plinth it seems.
Second (and this is what is really bothering me),
When at a decent semi loud volume, when I walk towards my speakers, with every step I take, there is a slight rumble/flutter in one of the woofers to my speakers.
When the song ends and the record is quiet, with every step I take I can hear the rumble sound and see the woofer slightly flutter.
This is the issue I had with my old turntable except the rumble/flutter was much more pronounced and is why I haven't used a turntable since last summer when I first got my system. I also have the subsonic filter turned ON on my phono pre amp. My dealer told me I need to isolate the turntable. So I finally got this new turntable and the Symposium Segue ISO platform hoping this issue would be resolved and it still seems to be there.
Ground wire is connected to turntable and pre amp too!
Can anyone think of any reason why this keeps happening to me? It is very frustrating and upsetting. I just want my turntable to work and to be able to play records on my system.
Any suggestions or ideas would be great.
