AV behind wall suggestions

General Home Theater & Media/Game Rooms - www.avsforum.com
I'm designing my home theater right now and am going to have all of my equipment (blu-ray player, receiver, fire stick, ...) behind a wall except for the project that will be 12 ft away from the screen (ceiling mounted). Any opinions on whether this is a good idea or not having AV behind wall and controlling via Harmony Hub? My concern is that I may not be able to control AV equipment + projector because the mini IR blaster may not be long enough to control the projector. Another issue is how I would even be able to wire the IR blaster to control the ceiling mounted projector (pull the wire through the ceiling?). One other question is should I have the equipment behind the front wall or back. Does this even matter? Thanks in advanced!
