Wifi for gigabit?

General Home Theater & Media/Game Rooms - www.avsforum.com
As in my last post I stated that my apartment is currently under construction. I submitted some ideas to the architect and he came back with a >$1500 price for wiring up Cat6 in my 750sq ft apartment which is way too expensive.

So, I was thinking about some of the new wifi technologies like Mesh routers. What is the best price/performance wifi tech you can buy for a small (750sq ft) one bedroom apartment? I still do most of my work/gaming on a tower PC. I would like to get the fastest possible connection on that one device (I forsee having Gigabit internet in my new apartment). Not so concerned about getting max speeds on my wifi devices (phones, tv boxes) other than being able to stream 4k video reliably.

I was looking at the Ubiquiti UAP-AC-HD Unifi.

Someone suggested I just run a jumper between the living room and bedroom, use wifi for the rest and call it a day.

Cable box is in the small closet by the front door (with the support beam next to the bathroom).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
